MEET THE TEAM

Kelsey - Producer, Director & Musical Director

My love for teaching began at just nine years old when I started assisting in baby ballet classes at my childhood performing arts school. Growing up, I was surrounded by musical theatre - my mum ran her own performing arts school and produced large-scale, licensed musicals in professional theatres, which completely shaped my passion for this industry. I went on to train professionally in musical theatre for four years in Guildford and have been teaching ever since. I now run my own theatre school, Theatre Foundations, and have taught musical theatre to children and young people aged 4–21 since graduating in 2014. I am very lucky to truly love what I do and I have directed and created over 80 shows for children. Alongside this, I’ve taught in several local primary schools, including St Paul’s, Tongham, and Ash Grange, and currently teach out of Ash Manor School, where both Theatre Foundations and Theatre Productions are proudly based.

Lauren has been dancing from a young age and brings a huge amount of passion, experience, and creativity to Theatre Productions. She trained at Italia Conti before going on to complete three years of professional training at PPA, giving her a strong foundation across all areas of musical theatre, with a particular specialism in dance. Lauren is the founder of Surrey Dance Works, a highly successful dance school with its own studios, and regularly produces large scale shows in professional venues such as The Princes Hall. She is no stranger to working in big theatres and managing the demands of full-scale productions. Alongside this, Lauren continues to train and perform herself, ensuring her work stays fresh, current, and inspiring. She has been a core part of Theatre Foundations since it opened and is known for her clean, creative choreography and ability to bring out the very best in young performers.

Lauren - Choreographer

Izzy is an integral part of the Theatre Productions team and is the key to making our rehearsal process run seamlessly. Having worked closely in a rehearsal room with me for many years, she has an in-depth understanding of how I work and how productions should be run, making her invaluable for both the cast and the creative team. Izzy will know the show we put on in its entirety so she can step in during rehearsals to support with cleaning and running different songs, dances and scenes all while keeping energy, focus, and motivation high. She is a calm, reassuring presence and often the children’s go-to person, helping them feel safe, supported, and confident. Izzy also plays a crucial role during production weeks, ensuring everything runs efficiently while always putting the children’s needs first.
